These handmade mini Book Sculptures are certainly one-of-a-kind! I found a very dilapidated 1940’s copy of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie that was in quite the disarray but still had a couple of coloured plates from which I was able to coax these 2 little gumnut characters from. I felt they really needed to be dancing on a gumnut so although I couldn’t make the actual gumnuts out of the original book such was its’ condition, I did choose a vintage Mary Grant Bruce ‘From London to Billabong’ from the same era.
The mini glass cloche measures approx. 5cm in diameter and is approx 9cm tall.
They are a delightful dimensional addition to bookshelves and mantles and great gifts for those that are bookish. Thankyou to May Gibbs.
