‘Stand Out’
One of my curious collectible artworks framed serendipitously by a 1920’s vintage cast iron gem scone tray.
Using and curating vintage book illustrations from my collection of categories that i pull from the cuttings of my Secret Vintage Booksafes,
a story is put together. In this case, one that visually reminds us ‘to not be afraid to stand out’.
Each illustration is adhered to a disc that is mounted within the half-spheres of the tray.
Many coy women in black and white are pictured from an old period Costume book with one who beams confidently in colour between them.
These 3 dimensional artworks sit easily on a shelf or hang simply on a nail in the wall nestled amongst other mixed gallery artworks.
