Marie Antoinette – part of my Queens Collection.
This royal Book Sculpture is carved from a rescued french history vintage book that was worthy of being turned into this pageantry. Perfect for the Francophile!
Pardon the dust in my photos – such is the nature of my carving space being within my studio!
On the base of each of these Queens is a label noting the book it was carved from, its’ date and number of pages used. It is the perfect gift for a bookish treasured friend or your very own book shelf.
I created these sculptures to re-use the blocks of paper that I had left over after carving out my vintage books as book safes, I like nothing going to waste. Each one is One-of-a-kind.
The glass cloche measures approx. 16cm in diameter and is 25cm tall.
